The Industrial Funding Fee
0.75% of your reported sales, remitted quarterly. Separate obligation, separate clock, same numbers.
Two obligations, not one

Filing the monthly report does not pay the fee, and paying the fee does not file the report. Both are owed.
Checking the amount
The fee is 0.75% of reported sales for the quarter. If your monthly totals are right, the quarterly figure is arithmetic: add the three months' reported totals and multiply by 0.0075. The place this goes wrong is upstream — a month reported with a wrong total, or a month not reported at all, and the fee follows the error.
That is the practical reason to check the arithmetic on the monthly file rather than at quarter
end: Total Price must equal quantity times unit price on every line, and the reported
total is the sum of those.
We show the fee on every report. The validator gives you the reported total and the 0.75% figure for the month, so the quarterly remittance is a sum of three numbers you already checked. Paid accounts get a quarterly reminder.
